I am Tom and from 2011 to 2020 I became one of the leading personal trainers in New Zealand. In 2020 I moved back to the UK with my family. After an unexpected stint as a stay-at-home dad during the COVID-19 pandemic, I rebooted To Be Personal Training and I am now enjoying bringing my skills and knowledge to a new group of clients.
I offer personal training and private group fitness classes to busy professionals at their homes, workplaces or other convenient locations. I take a holistic, common-sense and no-nonsense attitude to health and fitness. Training sessions are always fun, functional and focused on the needs of the client.
Since 2011, I have trained most of my clients at their workplaces, homes or in suitable outdoor locations.
Well-equipped, private gyms are fantastic but do not worry if you do not have access to one. You'll be surprised at how little space you need to perform an effective workout. I also have a great selection of training equipment that I am happy to bring to sessions.

I have experience coaching track and field athletes and sportsmen/women in all of the major field sports. My clients have ranged from children learning basic movement skills to adults representing their country.

I dislike pushy sales techniques so please do not worry about feeling pressured. Usually this takes between 45 minutes and an hour.
