Section 1 – Health and Safety

To Be Personal Training is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for employees, contractors and clients of To Be Personal Training.

 

To Be Personal Training will endeavour to take all practicable steps to pursue best practices in health and safety management.

 

As part of this commitment, To Be Personal Training will maintain a systematic and comprehensive programme aimed at preventing work-related injuries or harm. This involves identifying existing and new hazards and taking all practicable steps to eliminate, isolate or minimise the exposure to any hazards deemed to be significant (our Risk Assessment).

 

To Be Personal Training expects that employees and contractors will take all practicable steps to identify and minimise workplace hazards and to safeguard themselves from work-related injury or harm.

 

Responsibilities of To Be Personal Training

 

To Be Personal Training will endeavour to:

  • Maintain an effective programme to identify workplace hazards systematically and introduce appropriate measures to control these hazards.

  • Encourage consultation and participation in all matters relating to health and safety.

  • Make employees and contractors aware of the hazards in their work area and adequately train them to perform their work in a safe manner.

  • Actively encourage the accurate and timely reporting and recording of all incidents, accidents and injuries.

  • Investigate all reported incidents, accidents and injuries to ensure all contributing factors are identified, and when necessary, take corrective action to reduce the likelihood of the same situation arising.

 

Responsibilities of employees and contractors

 

Every employee and contractor is expected to share in the commitment to this policy and play a vital role in ensuring To Be Personal Training is a safe and healthy place to work.

 

Employees and contractors will endeavour to:

  • Carry out their work in a way that does not adversely affect their own health and safety or that of others.

  • Ensure that all accidents, incidents, hazards and unsafe conditions are reported to To Be Personal Training as soon as possible.

  • Familiarise themselves with To Be Personal Training’s Risk Assessment and Health and Safety Policy.

 

Hazard identification

 

To Be Personal Training has identified some common workplace hazards, and developed procedures to deal with these. These are set out in the Risk Assessment.

 

Identifying hazards involves using common sense in what you think would be a hazard to you. It does not matter how small the hazard is, but it becomes your responsibility to notify To Be Personal Training so that steps can be taken to isolate, eliminate or minimise the problem.

 

Accident management

 

To Be Personal Training has an important role in managing accidents to ensure that types of accidents are identified, and strategies put in place to prevent recurrences.

 

For work-related personal injury, an injured employee or contractor:

  • Must report the accident/incident to Tom Berry as soon as practical.

  • Record the accident on an incident report form for filing.

 

Driving for work

 

While driving a vehicle at work, all employees and contractors must comply with traffic legislation, be conscious of road safety, and demonstrate safe driving.

 

Employees and contractors of To Be Personal Training who drive while at work are responsible for:

  • Driving with care and attention.

  • Always wearing their seatbelt while driving.

  • Staying within the speed limit.

  • Not using a cell phone while they are driving nor smoking, adjusting makeup or appearance, map reading, coffee drinking, or any other action that takes the driver’s attention away from driving.

  • Complying with all traffic legislation.

  • Stopping to rest if they feel tired or sleepy while driving.

  • Making sure they are licensed to drive the type of vehicle they are driving.

  • Telling To Be Personal Training as soon as possible if their driver’s license is cancelled, suspended, or has limitations put on it.

  • Maintaining their vehicle in a safe condition if they use it for work purposes, including making sure it is registered, insured and has a current MOT.

  • Reporting any road accidents which they are involved in to To Be Personal Training as soon as possible.

  • Paying any speeding or parking fines they incur.

 

 

Section 2 - Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Adults at Risk

 

To Be Personal Training is committed to the protection and safety of children and adults at risk that it encounters in the work setting.

 

To Be Personal Training will endeavour to take all practicable steps to pursue best practices in the protection and safety of children and adults at risk, and it expects employees and contractors to do the same.

 

To Be Personal Training is committed to the following principles:

  • The welfare of the child or adult at risk is paramount.

  • All children and adults at risk have the right to protection from abuse.

  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

  • All suspicions and allegations of abuse must be dealt with swiftly and appropriately.

 

To Be Personal Training takes the following steps to safeguard and protect children and adults at risk:

  • Employees and contractors are expected to abide by the UK Coaching Code of Practice.

  • Employees and contractors who engage in athletics coaching are also expected to be registered with UK Athletics (or the relevant home country athletics federation) and to abide by the UK Athletics Code of Conduct.

  • Employees and contractors are expected to abide by the UK Athletics Child Safeguarding Policy and UK Athletics Adult Safeguarding Policy.

  • Employees need to pass a DBS check before commencing their employment.

  • Employees are required to inform To Be Personal Training immediately of anything that would lead to them failing a new DBS check.

  • Contractors need to have passed a DBS check within the previous 12 months.

  • All suspicions and allegations of abuse are dealt with swiftly and appropriately.

 

 

Section 3 - Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

 

To Be Personal Training is committed to treating everyone equally and without prejudice, and does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation.

 

To Be Personal Training endeavours to be, so far as is reasonably practicable, accessible to all members of society, whatever their age, disability, gender, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or social/economic status.

 

To Be Personal Training is committed to the following principles:

  • Everyone deserves to be treated equally.

  • Everyone has the right to be protected from prejudice.

  • The fair treatment of others is everyone’s responsibility.

  • All suspicions and allegations of prejudice must be dealt with swiftly and appropriately.

 

To Be Personal Training takes the following steps to eliminate prejudice in the workplace:

  • Employees and contractors are expected to abide by the UK Coaching Code of Practice.

Section 4 - Privacy Policy

 

The information we collect

We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
